The Ration Shed Museum

    Welcome you to the Ration Shed Museum – located in the Cherbourg Historical, Cultural and Community Precinct – where you will have the opportunity to see and experience the past and present of the largest Aboriginal community in South East Queensland.

    As a visitor you can hear the stories of our Elders, explore historical and contemporary exhibitions, view films, see artists at work, buy some of the beautiful pottery and paintings, walk around the landscaped gardens and have a cuppa with them.

      Pitch your tent or pull up your caravan in the middle of Queensland’s newest wine region. Set up camp anywhere you like on our 1.6 acre block. Wake up to views of the local Clovely Estate Cabernet Sauvignon vineyard and the South Burnett hillside. Perfect for campers who are fully self-contained as there are no toilets/ showers/ other amenities. Spend your days exploring Moffatdale. Home to four picturesque wineries, a recreation lake (great for boating, fishing and swimming), a happening Irish Pub and many places you can try local delicacies. Enjoy getting to know the friendly locals, take a hike to Kinombi Falls or a bike ride through the village. End the day with a glass of local vino and watch the sunset over the Clovely Estate Vineyard on your campsite. Just under three hours from Brisbane and two hours from Noosa, you’re going to love visiting this serene hidden nook of Queensland’s outback. Campers will need to take all waste on departure. Pets are welcome, however the property is not fenced.
