The majestic Bunya Mountains offer visitors features such as panoramic mountain scenery and breathtaking views over the South Burnett region and southern plains. Nights come alive with the sounds of the nocturnal creatures while the mornings offer a fresh, crisp and clear mountain quality start to the day.

The Bunya Mountains offers visitors a large range of accommodation options from motel rooms to holiday houses and chalets that suit any size group and budget.

While staying in the Bunya Mountains there is a lot on offer for visitors. If you just want to sit and relax then there is Elz Bistro and Poppies on the Hill Café where you can watch the world go by while sipping on a coffee or enjoy fine dining Bunya style on Friday and Saturday nights at Lyrics restaurant.

If adventure is what you’re after, the Bunya Mountains offer a number of different walking tracks. Enjoy weaving in and out of grasslands, rainforest and vine scrubs along the 35km of walking track on offer. Walks range from a 500m stroll to a 10km hike. Each track has been numbered and classified so visitors are able to select a walk to match their walking experience and fitness. All tracks offer impressive views and serene surrounds.

For families visiting the Bunya Mountains there is wild bird feeding where the kids can get up close with Australia King Parrots and Crimson Rosellas. Bookings are a must for bird feeding and can be arranged at the General Store.

Another popular family activity is the Bunya Mountains Horse Drawn Tours. Operating mostly on weekends and school holidays and offering a number of different tours including a novelty ride which goes for approx. 10 mins to a Billy Tea and Damper in the Rainforest Tour which goes for 2 hours and includes billy tea, damper and roasted Bunya nuts in the rainforest, a memorable experience for the young and old alike.

The last Sunday of each month the Bunya Mountains Markets are held. These markets only feature handmade items and run from 9am to 12pm.
